We take a very serious approach to graphic and web design. There are many websites out there that look awesome at first glance but then after a minute of staring at the screen, you realise that you actually do not know what link to click (usually because you need to somehow magically understand that if you mouse over one of the flashing elements you will be presented with a menu of options) so you simply close the awesome looking website and move onto the plain simple one that is easy to use.

User friendly websites do not need to be boring, but they do need to take into account typical user behaviour. There are billions of websites on the internet and the broad majority work in a very similar way. Accept that and use it to your advantage. By following the industry standard, a visitor who is new to your website (but not new to the Internet) will instinctively know what to do. All research shows that a user makes up their mind about your website in the first 3-5 seconds.

We also understand that your brand will follow through not only on your website, but on business cards and brochures where the number of colours and gradients actually do make a difference (usually to cost). With more and more sites becoming functional and interactive with the customer, design should be purpose built to enhance (but not drive) the experience. We are big fans of the “less is more” mantra and that each extra graphical element detracts the user from making a purchase or lodging an enquiry. However, choosing the right background image, placing it in the right position on the screen, with a carefully worded clear marketing message could increase conversion significantly if it is not lost in a sea of other graphics.
